Our faculty and staff are committed to ensuring the formation of each student leads to an encounter with Jesus Christ. We make a significant effort to recruit and retain knowledgeable and qualified faculty in their respective areas so that all students are adequately prepared for their futures.

What is your favorite book and why?
Dante’s Divine Comedy. As T.S. Eliot famously said, “Shakespeare and Dante divide the world between them. There is no third.” Choosing just one play from Shakespeare is difficult.

What is your favorite book and why?
Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes. There are so many reasons to love Don Quixote but my absolute favorite thing about the novel is that, despite all its silliness, the core of the story is a man striving for virtue.
What is your favorite part of the school day or school year?
I love October. Students are comfortable with each other, teachers have developed strong relationships with students, there’s excitement surrounding Homecoming, and it feels like our community is super strong.

What is your favorite book and why?
Hatchet – It was one of the first novels I remember reading. My father introduced me to backpacking deep in the wilderness as an 8 year old boy and it was those experiences that helped put me in the shoes of the main character.
What’s something awesome about school life that you feel is unique to Machebeuf?
Showing up to intramural Volleyball at lunchtime to see Sister Mary Gemma providing a perfect set to a teammate, or catching one of the brothers pushing himself to get an extra set of leg squats in right after school.

There is a single and unique culture created at Machebeuf that grows organically from the varied backgrounds of the student body, and at the center of this culture is Christ.

What is your favorite book and why?
Anna Karenina. Its beautiful prose creates a dynamic plot of interweaving storylines. Its critique of society’s valuation of emotion over morality is masterful, questioning the often-assumed definition of love and underscoring the importance of virtue.
What is something awesome about school life that you feel is unique to Machebeuf?
Students choose to spend time together at lunch rather than stare at their phones. They play soccer or frisbee outside, read in the sun, or chat with each other and their teachers.

The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien – Tolkien beautifully and necessarily reminds and encourages me to live life beyond the Shire.
What is something awesome about school life that you feel is unique to Machebeuf?
The Integrated Humanities curriculum is ultimately what initially piqued my interest in Machebeuf. I love that it exists and is offered to our students with the purpose of providing them with a uniquely beautiful educational experience, leading them to truth and helping them live the fullness of life, rooted in Christ and community, which they are made for. On top of that, what a blessing it is to be part of a community of faculty and staff that lives and implements this way of life.

I love how the Chapel is actually physically in the center of Machebeuf. Every Catholic school should have Christ at the core and here at Machebeuf, we have His Real Presence in the Eucharist physically at the center of our school to remind us of this every day.

What is something awesome about school life that you feel is unique to Machebeuf?
The community and faith life! We also have a rich cultural diversity that the students are proud to share with each other. I think this is representative of the many parts of Christ and the body of His church!
